Three pieces for soloaccordion – written for – and in close collaboration with – the Icelandic accordionist Asta Soffia Thorgeirsdottir.

The music is carried by a continuous intensity and the insistence of presence   – states that Asta Soffia is a master of when playing. The pieces are investigating the two points framing our  life; birth and death.  Looking into a  meeting point of the two opposites. Investigating their similarities, how they are closely connected as our passage in and out of life and with instinct as the most important quality. The piece builds up slowly from intens fragility and simplicity expanding into a broader sound  – ending with a shimmering palet of notes weaving in and out of each other like a structure of light.              

The three pieces premiered at The Garden Studio in October 2025 and are playing in Denmark, Norway Iceland and Faroe Islands in 2026 og 2027.
