From Kunstneren Tæt På : “We invite artists to work in small village communities which have often lost their social and cultural facilities. Together with local citizens, the artists create the artworks that are based on the local history and stories, and crafts. The artists talk to the locals about the changes and dreams in the rural areas, and often try to tailor ideas about the future in the artistic works.”
Karoline Skriver is composing a piece that is to be performed in Pindstrup Church on 24. may 2025 . The piece will be based on interpreted recordings from the beautiful natureside around Pindstrup and peoples´own favourite sounds from inside their houses. The electronica will be combined with live vibraphone in the piece.
The composition aims to facilitate a different space for the community – a space where they are together in silence, listening to “the sound of the town” and contributing to the piece by being present – at the same time – next to one another.
